| Bush Wackers Solve Knights, 4-3 | Kingwood got a terrific performance from pitcher Tommy Burhoe, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Brisbane won the Stable Park contest, 4-3. Burhoe was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings allowing 1 run. Brisbane, at 63-77, occupies 5th place in the RCLA Dusty Baker Division.
Had Angelo Hernandez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Hernandez hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Bush Wackers.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Hernandez told the Brisbane Gazette.
