| Gnats Beat Emeralds in 10 | The Nichols Gnats did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Eugene Emeralds at The Pond. Nobody did more than pitcher Sam Berg, who captured player of the game honors. Nichols now has a 3-game win streak.
The Gnats got a big at-bat from right fielder Keith Molnar. For the game, Molnar went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 90th hit of the season gave Nichols a 5-4 lead.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Molnar.
