| Tight Tilt Goes to Dancin' Outlaws, 4-3 | West Virginia beat Houston on the strength of starter Javier Barela's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Mike Crawford was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 31 save opportunities. At 67-71, West Virginia is in 4th place in the RCLA Dusty Baker Division.
Juan Arias aided the West Virginia cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.
