| Princes Throttle Vikings, 8-1 | The Bel Air Princes stopped the Dublin Vikings, 8-1, at Philip Banks Field. The Princes got a big game from Norm Julien, who was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Max Hageman, the winner, improved to 13-7. He held the Vikings to no earned runs on 1 hit over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Bel Air is now 94-43, 20½ games up in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division.
Sang-your Choe had a big bases-clearing double for the Princes in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bel Air leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Chris Bogart and stroked the double to center. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Princes ahead, 5-0.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Choe, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
