| Emeralds Bridle Dancin' Outlaws, 3-1 | Eugene and West Virginia duked it out at Prefontaine Park and the Emeralds came out victorious.
Eugene starter Eric McNeil put a stranglehold on the West Virginia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Emeralds to a 3-1 win. McNeil got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. McNeil allowed 1 earned run.
Jim Overby, who is tied for 6th in the RA in home runs with 18, chipped in for Eugene with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," McNeil said.
With the win, Eugene goes to 56-79, while the Dancin' Outlaws fall to 65-71.
