Cyclones Come Back Late to Top Crosscutters

The Coney Island Cyclones got a stellar performance from pitcher Jimmie Morton, who handcuffed the Williamsport offense en route to a 3-2 win at Coney Island Coliseum. The 5th-place Cyclones have won 4 in a row.

Sam Groendyk hit a run-scoring double off Ryan Hatch in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Cyclones in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Groendyk had 2 singles, while going 3 for 3.

"It was a solid team effort," said Groendyk after the game.
