| Jedi Knights Lose, 7-1, at Woodland Park | Benefiting from Camren Bontrager's productive game, the Houston Sting downed the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-1. Bontrager went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Sting. Houston reliever Carlos Flores was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Edwin Avila took the loss for New Orleans. Houston currently is in second place in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division at 70-60.
Andy Robinson, who is tied for 6th in the RA in triples with 5, aided the Houston cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Robinson told the Houston Gazette.
