| Mustangs Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Cambridge | San Angelo second baseman Jimmy Bass had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Cambridge Orphans, 6-5. San Angelo reliever Julian Delgado was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Josh Brolin took the loss for Cambridge. Casey Violet converted his 23rd save in 28 tries.
Had Jay Rykhus not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Rykhus hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Mustangs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bass told the San Angelo Citizen.
