| Mustangs Win Streak Reaches 7 | The San Angelo Mustangs topped the Cambridge Orphans, 8-7, with third baseman Ki-heung Pak playing a big role. Pak was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Mustangs in the win. San Angelo reliever Alex Castello picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Jake Hickerson absorbed the loss. Casey Violet got the save, his 22nd in 27 chances.
Mike Montero, who is tied for 8th in the TA in triples with 5, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Cambridge manager Fernando Padilla. "But we decided not to take it."
San Angelo now has a 7-game win streak.
