| Bush Wackers Topple Gnats with Late Rally | Brisbane and Nichols duked it out at Baylor Ballpark and the Bush Wackers came out victorious.
Nichols got a terrific performance from pitcher Ricardo Ortiz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Brisbane won the Baylor Ballpark contest, 5-2. Ortiz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball. Zaire Small earned his 10th save in 11 chances.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the fourth inning. That's when third baseman Norbert Mori, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2033 draft, drew a walk. The Bush Wackers went on to win.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Mori told the Brisbane Gazette.
Brisbane is now riding a 3-game win streak.
