Black Squirrels Get Road Win, 2-1

The Tree City Black Squirrels did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Nichols Gnats at The Pond. Nobody did more than pitcher Jesus Ambriz, who captured player of the game honors. Jaime Tait converted his 12th save in 17 tries. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 68-62 with this latest triumph.

The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from center fielder Adrian Moylan. For the game, Moylan was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Tree City a 2-0 lead.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Moylan.
