| Pelicans Win at Coney Island, 8-4 | The St. Petersburg Pelicans knocked off the Coney Island Cyclones, 8-4, at Coney Island Coliseum. Octavio Barreto, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason St. Petersburg won. The designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mario Pagan was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Pelicans bumped their record to 67-62 with this latest triumph.
