| Victory Pushes Republic Record to 41-22 | The So Cal Republic picked up a win at House of the Republic, knocking off the Rubber City Rhinos, 6-4. Starting pitcher Dan Garcia, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Garcia picked up the win for So Cal, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. The second-place Republic now have a 6-game winning streak.
Jong-min Kim Jr., who is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Kim Jr. told the So Cal Today. "It's as simple as that."
