| Obombo hits 2 home runs, Tornadoes Move to 41-22 | Getting a good performance from first baseman Lazarus Obombo, the Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Georgia Grays, 8-6. Obombo was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Tornadoes. The first-place Tornadoes now have a 4-game winning streak.
Francisco Enriquez, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, aided the Kansas City cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
