| Sting Lose to Road Warriors in Walk Off | The Houston Sting got a sterling performance from pitcher Hugh Umlah, but the Road Warriors still prevailed, 4-3. Umlah was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters . Manuel Visser, credited with the win, is now 4-6. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The 4th-place Road Warriors improved to 58-66.
Westside won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and David Hernandez on the mound for Houston, catcher Chris DeLacy hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Road Warriors fans to their feet.
After the game, Westside manager Lorenzo Rodríguez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
