| Mustangs Solve Hornets, 6-4 | The Mile High Mustangs knocked off the Eureka Hornets, 6-4, at McNichols Stadium. Alex Moreno, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Mile High won. The catcher went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Mustangs sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division with a record of 25-37.
Moreno had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch sinker from Roger Rogers, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Mustangs a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Moreno.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Moreno told the Mile High Today. "It's as simple as that."
