| Emeralds Need Extras to Top Road Warriors | The Eugene Emeralds wiggled past the Westside Road Warriors, 4-3, at Prefontaine Park. Eugene pitcher Brenden Miller earned player of the game honors. Eugene reliever Eric McNeil picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Ken Maynard was collared with the loss. The Emeralds, at 54-70, sit in 5th place in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Jim Overby, hit a single. It helped Eugene seize the win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Miller told the Eugene Citizen.
