| Vikings Get Road Win, 8-1 | The Dublin Vikings defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 8-1. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Tony Figueroa, who was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Vikings bumped their record to 73-50 with this latest triumph.
Figueroa had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Jeff Hymel, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Vikings a 4-1 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Figueroa.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Figueroa said in postgame remarks.
