| Vikings Fall Short, 3-2, at New Orleans | New Orleans played host to Victoria at the friendly confines of The Republic.
Behind a solid performance from catcher Tyler Walter, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the Victoria Vikings, 3-2. Walter went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs for the Jedi Knights. Geoff Baxter converted his 11th save in 12 tries.
Walter had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Nick Germinaro, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Jedi Knights a 3-2 lead. It was the 21st double of the year for Walter.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno.
The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 67-58 with this latest triumph.
