| River Chiefs Take Nail-Biter Over Lake Monsters | The Chippewa River Chiefs scored a 2-1 win versus the Okanagan Lake Monsters at The Reservation. Chippewa pitcher Lorenzo Chavez nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The second-place River Chiefs have won 4 straight.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Chippewa second baseman Luke Corbett, facing Jesús Velásquez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the River Chiefs the 2-1 win.
