| Hornets Turn Back Bel Air, 3-2 | The Bethesda Hornets eked out a 3-2 win versus the Bel Air Princes at Hornets Field. Nobody did more than right fielder Javier Carpio, who captured player of the game honors. Bethesda reliever Henry Campos picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Max Hageman was collared with the loss. Bethesda is last in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 49-72.
Alex Armijo aided the Bethesda cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bethesda manager Bob Reece said.
