| Multi-HR Day for Pope as Bush Wackers Overpower Orphans, 5-3 | The Brisbane Bush Wackers beat the Cambridge Orphans, 5-3, at Abbey Stadium. Brisbane third baseman Chris Pope earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Chris Peake picked up the win, improving his season record to 11-8. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. Brisbane bumps their record to 52-68 with the win.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Pope, who is tied for 9th in the RA in total bases with 163, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Bush Wackers into the lead, 5-2.
