| Close Win Moves Road Warriors to 55-65 | It was a good time at Road Warriors Field, where fans came to watch the Tree City Black Squirrels and Westside Road Warriors get after it.
Tree City center fielder Adrian Moylan had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Moylan went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Westside beat the Black Squirrels, 5-4. Moylan was named the player of the game despite the loss. Bobby Santos got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. Jake Pendleton notched his 9th save in 12 chances.
Early in the game, catcher Chris DeLacy had a 3-run home run for Westside. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Road Warriors on top, 3-0.
"Both teams played hard," said Westside manager Lorenzo Rodríguez.
Westside is in 4th place in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 55-65.
