| Emeralds Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | The Eugene Emeralds faced a tough opponent in Bethesda pitcher Jose Galaviz, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Prefontaine Park by a final score of 3-2. Galaviz went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Emeralds improved to 53-67.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Eugene third baseman Alejandro Moreno, facing Adrian Garcia, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Emeralds the 3-2 win.
Moreno said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
