Emeralds Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Bethesda

Eugene catcher Manuel Llanes had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 6-4 win over the Bethesda Hornets. Brenden Miller got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The 5th-place Emeralds raised their record to 52-67.

Llanes had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Dustin Thompson, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Emeralds a 4-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Llanes.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Llanes told the Eugene Citizen.
