| Pelicans Get Road Win, 6-3 | St. Petersburg and West Virginia duked it out at Penlee Park and the Pelicans came out victorious.
The St. Petersburg Pelicans defeated the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 6-3, in RCLA action at Penlee Park, with St. Petersburg pitcher Yukio Inouye named player of the game. In 6.2 innings, Inouye surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.
David Tapia hit a run-scoring triple off Jose Aguilera in the top of the fifth, which put the Pelicans in front, 3-2. Tapia had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Inouye.
The Pelicans bumped their record to 65-55 with this latest triumph.
