| Bush Wackers Lose, 8-4, at Abbey Stadium | The Cambridge Orphans defeated the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 8-4, in RCLA action at Abbey Stadium, with Cambridge catcher Steve Bathurst named player of the game. Even with the win, the Orphans have a dismal 40-76 record.
The Orphans got a big at-bat from third baseman Jake Everett. For the game, Everett was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Cambridge a 3-2 lead.
