| Orphans Lose, 7-4, at Valhalla Summit | Dublin starter Jimmy Romanski pitched effectively against the Cambridge Orphans at Valhalla Summit. The right-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. Romanski got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Romanski allowed 4 earned runs. Matt Hendricksen got the save, his 11th in 17 chances.
Dublin took a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, first baseman Tony Figueroa hit a grand slam home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Romanski.
The Vikings bumped their record to 67-48 with this latest triumph.
