| Warriors Stymie Williamsport, Take 4-1 Win | The Winfield Warriors picked up a win at The Barn, knocking off the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-1. On the mound for Winfield was right-hander Ben Kern, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 7 innings, Kern surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Andreas Pearce notched his 5th save in 7 chances.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from first baseman Steven Furse. For the game, Furse went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Winfield a 2-0 lead.
