| Mustangs Prevail, 4-2, Over New Orleans | Fans who gathered at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium saw a good contest between the San Angelo Mustangs and New Orleans Jedi Knights.
The San Angelo Mustangs picked up a win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, knocking off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 4-2. On the mound for San Angelo was right-hander Danny Hernandez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Mustangs sit in 4th place in the TMLA Earl Weaver Division with a record of 52-60.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from shortstop John Williams. For the game, Williams was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave San Angelo a 2-1 lead.
"I liked his command," said San Angelo manager Cliff Moon. "Danny was throwing strikes."
