| Gnats Come Back Late to Top Saints | Nichols pitcher Franklin Salinas did his part in helping his team beat the St. Paul Saints, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Nichols reliever Kyle Johnson picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Quinn Hall was collared with the loss. The third-place Gnats lifted their record to 57-55.
Josue Escamilla was the walk-off hero for Nichols. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gnats pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
Escamilla called the win "a collective effort."
