| Crosscutters Prevail, 5-3, Over Charleston | Behind the bravura of third baseman Rafael Gonzalez, the Williamsport Crosscutters topped the Charleston Panthers by the score of 5-3. Gonzalez went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Crosscutters. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 38-72 record.
Tim Mitchell, who is tied for 7th in the TA in total bases with 164, helped out the Williamsport cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mitchell told the Williamsport Today.
