The Coney Island Cyclones racked up a win at The Barn, bumping off the Winfield Warriors, 3-2. Andrew Turner, who started for Coney Island, pitched effectively for his team. Turner picked up the win for Coney Island, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-10. David Alvarez earned his 7th save in 10 chances.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Victor Trinidad was at the plate when Coney Island scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cyclones to go in front, 1-0.
