| Lake Monsters Subdue Nichols, 3-1 | The Okanagan Lake Monsters racked up a win at Elks Stadium, bumping off the Nichols Gnats, 3-1. Ruben Noyola, who started for Okanagan, pitched effectively for his team. Avery Diamond earned his 5th save in 7 chances. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 61-47 with this latest triumph.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Keon Ford didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Nichols trailing 3-1, Ford retired Ewold Diaz to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Ford, with a wink.
