| Mustangs Shut Out Panthers | The San Angelo Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Charleston pitcher Kyle Simon, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium by a final score of 3-0. Simon went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The win was credited to Pedro Galvan in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Kyle Simon took the loss. The win boosts the Mustangs to 49-56. The loss puts the Panthers at 52-52.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from third baseman Ki-heung Pak. For the game, Pak went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave San Angelo a 3-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pak said.
