| Black Squirrels Solve Pelicans, 4-2 | The Tree City Black Squirrels grabbed a 4-2 win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans at The Nut House. Tree City first baseman Jose Curione went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The Black Squirrels now have a mark of 57-50.
Curione had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Black Squirrels went on to win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Curione.
