The Charleston Panthers picked up a win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, knocking off the San Angelo Mustangs, 5-1. Starting pitcher Joe Crouch, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Crouch, now 4-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Panthers bumped their record to 52-51 with this latest triumph.

Miguel Rangel aided the Charleston cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Crouch told the Charleston Chronicle.
