| Black Knights Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Hawaii | The Brooklyn Black Knights defeated the Hawaii Islanders, 6-1, at Blue Ivy Stadium today. Leading the charge for Brooklyn was catcher Neal Thacker. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Edgar Alvarez picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-2. The Black Knights raised their record to 29-32.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Gerben van der Molen. For the game, van der Molen went 1 for 1 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-0 lead.
