| Multi-HR Game for Feliciano in 11-6 Win | The Eugene Emeralds topped the Cambridge Orphans, 11-6, in RCLA action at Abbey Stadium. The player of the game was Eugene third baseman Juan Feliciano. The 5th-place Emeralds raised their record to 43-60.
The Emeralds got a big at-bat from center fielder Jim Overby. For the game, Overby was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Eugene a 2-0 lead.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Emeralds manager Ricardo Martínez. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
