| Road Warriors Take Tight Tilt | In a close game at Road Warriors Field, the Westside Road Warriors edged the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 4-3. Westside designated hitter Pat Layman earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Jake Pendleton notched his 7th save in 10 chances. Westside is 4th in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 48-55.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from second baseman Carlos Mendoza. For the game, Mendoza was 1-2 with 2 walks. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 35th hit of the season gave Westside a 4-3 lead.
