| Knights Win at Houston, 7-6 | With third baseman Jack Crosby leading the charge, the Kingwood Knights defeated the Houston Sting, 7-6, at Woodland Park. Crosby, who is tied for 5th in the TA in extra base hits with 33, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Zak Osborn earned his 27th save in 30 chances. The Knights bumped their record to 70-32 with this latest triumph.
Crosby contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kingwood in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Crosby took a fastball from Austin Cottrell and stroked the home run to right. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 2-1.
Crosby told the Kingwood Bulletin: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
