| Vikings Turn Back Houston, 3-2 | The drakkar was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Victoria Vikings and the Houston Sting.
Victoria beat Houston at The drakkar, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Harold Lane, who earned player of the game honors. Lane, now 8-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Luis Madrid was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 18 save opportunities.
Early in the game, right fielder Ricky Jara had a 2-run home run for Victoria. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Vikings on top, 2-1.
