| Victory Pushes Lake Monsters Record to 57-42 | It was a fun time at Elks Stadium, where the Dublin Vikings and Okanagan Lake Monsters tangled.
The Okanagan Lake Monsters downed the Dublin Vikings, 5-1, at Elks Stadium. The Lake Monsters were led by Dave Duval, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Avery Diamond got the save, his 4th in 6 chances.
With Okanagan leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Duval hit a knuckle curve from Eddie Rangel for a 2-run double. It was his 17th double of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 4-1.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Duval told reporters after the game.
The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 57-42 with this latest triumph.
