| Saints Bang Out 9-4 Win Versus Eugene | The St. Paul Saints downed the Eugene Emeralds, 9-4, at Saints Ballpark. The Saints were led by Jose Trejo, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 29-69 record.
Had Peyton Miller not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Miller hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Saints.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Miller told reporters after the game.
