| Road Warriors Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | Westside pitcher Dave Cespedes did his part in helping his team beat the Chippewa River Chiefs, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. At 46-52, the Road Warriors are currently 4th in the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from third baseman Bob Hunt. For the game, Hunt was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the 11th, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Westside a 3-2 lead.
"I like our resilience," said Cespedes.
