| Pelicans Turn Back Nichols, 4-2 | St. Petersburg pitcher Yukio Inouye did his part in helping his team beat the Nichols Gnats, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Pelicans bumped their record to 52-48 with this latest triumph.
Jorge Navarro aided the St. Petersburg cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
