| Mustangs Get Close Win Over Bush Wackers | Brisbane third baseman Chris Pope had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Pope went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, even as San Angelo beat the Bush Wackers, 5-4. Pope was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Mustangs improved to 46-51.
Ki-heung Pak chipped in for San Angelo with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pak told the San Angelo Citizen.
