| Victory Over Princes Takes Kingwood to 67-30 | Kingwood played host to Bel Air at the friendly confines of Stable Park.
The Kingwood Knights topped the Bel Air Princes, 8-2, with first baseman Brendan Webb playing a big role. Webb was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Knights in the win. Kingwood reliever Jesse Lundblad was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. Max Hageman took the loss for Bel Air.
Akira Kaneko was 1 for 3 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for Kingwood. The slick-fielding shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off J.D. Lindsey. It was his 55th walk of the season.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Kingwood skipper Chris Schell.
Kingwood is now 67-30, 11 games up in the TMLA Dick Williams Division.
