| Panthers Top Hornets to Even Record | Charleston played host to Bethesda at the friendly confines of Franklin Mountains Field.
Charleston beat Bethesda on the strength of starter Harry Plyler's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Charleston reliever Greg Rattray was credited with the win, to go to 1-5. Frank Teran took the loss for Bethesda.
Gerald Easler chipped in for Charleston with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Easler told the Charleston Chronicle.
