| Victory Pushes Pelicans Record to 51-48 | It was a good time at Billy Mathews Field, where fans came to watch the Brisbane Bush Wackers and St. Petersburg Pelicans get after it.
The St. Petersburg Pelicans topped the Brisbane Bush Wackers by the score of 6-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Miguel Munguia. Munguia was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs for the Pelicans. The winner was Harry Kates in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Justin Mancuso took the loss.
Munguia had a key at-bat for St. Petersburg early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and gave St. Petersburg an early 2-0 lead.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Munguia told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
The Pelicans bumped their record to 51-48 with this latest triumph.
